Who is His Church?

…a family
God the Father is the head of this family. We try to make everything we do be for Him and His glory. That’s why we’re called His Church, because it’s not about us, it’s all about Him! Everyone must make a personal decision about who they believe Jesus is, but we also know that it’s God’s desire for us to walk with each other, as a family, as part of that personal decision… we need each other if we are going to successfully  “run the race” of a Christ centered life all the way to the finish line. Every single person is needed for this family to function—no one is more or less important, or valued, or welcome—every generation, from every walk of life is welcome… That’s the Father’s heart! 


 …a place to grow    

God is concerned with more than getting us to heaven; He wants our whole self to grow and mature and become complete. His blueprint for us includes every part of our life… whether it is relationships, or work, our faith, or what goes on deep in our soul; He wants to bless every part! We discover this way of blessing by hearing God’s good news, believing it, and then doing it. This process is called becoming a disciple. Jesus considered it so important that it was one of His last commands. Discipleship is a foundational component at His Church.

…a bridge to the next generation

God has directed us to make this next generation our priority, from cradle through college. Not only because they’re our “future” but because they have incredible value today! It’s our aim to reach these age groups and give them the tools they need to THRIVE in a culture that thinks Christ is one of many options, not the only Son of God! Every generation at His Church is engaged in the task to bridge to the next generation.

  

…a worship center

We believe that one of our created purposes is to worship. It’s built into all of us, so we don’t mind taking time to worship. Since we believe that timeless truth is communicated in timely ways, we worship in a contemporary style expressing as much passion as any sports fan would at the home team’s stadium—because He’s worthy! We sing, raise our hands, kneel, and stand in silent awe to express our thanks and praise to an awesome God who loves us all!
